Committees
Community Advisory Board
Renaissance's Community Advisory Board assists in maintaining the connection to the low-to-moderate income residents of Mississippi. The CAB is comprised of over 50 key stakeholders who serve the community through living, working or servicing our market at the municipal level, at nonprofits, or public and private anchor organizations within the community. Through their connection to the community and their grass roots efforts they are able to provide continuous insight about the needs of community members and ensure that Renaissance is meeting its mission in Mississippi.
Commercial Loan Committee
Formed to provide independent review of Renaissance loan applications and input on Renaissance's loan portfolio, per Renaissance’s internal policy. The Loan Committee has 5 members and meets on an as-needed basis.
New Markets Tax Credit Executive Committee
The NMTC Executive Committee was created to evaluate community benefits of potential NMTC projects prior to making an investment decision. Renaissance was chosen by the US Department of the Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) to receive a $15 million New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) allocation. Renaissance was one of 120 organizations awarded nationwide in the largest single award round since the NMTC Program was created, and the only awardee dedicated to creating economic opportunity solely for the state of Mississippi. One large part of our plan was an Executive Committee made up of key members of the Community Advisory Board.
