In Wiggins, Mississippi, a small but growing community that serves as the commercial and employment hub for Stone County, access to quality childcare is essential to keeping families working and local businesses strong. With limited licensed provider options nearby and consistent demand driven by dual-income households, the reopening of a trusted childcare facility was critical to the community’s stability and growth.
Through a partnership between RCLF and FHLB Dallas Small Business Boost (SBB) funds, Kids Learning Factory, LLC was able to reestablish operations under new ownership, preserving local jobs and ensuring continued access to early childhood education for families across Wiggins and surrounding areas.

Led by husband-and-wife team Corbin and LeRinda Boyd, Kids Learning Factory brings together more than two decades of combined experience in nursing, early childhood education, and healthcare leadership. LeRinda’s early career in childcare, shaped by mentorship under Terrisa Shedd of Kreative Kingdom Christian Learning Center, laid the foundation for a program rooted in structure, compassion, and high standards of care. Corbin’s background as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and nurse adds a strong framework of leadership, integrity, and service.
Now operating as a privately owned early learning center, Kids Learning Factory serves children from six weeks through school age, offering full-day and part-day options with a licensed capacity of 102 children. Its curriculum is designed to foster social, emotional, academic, and spiritual growth helping children thrive while giving parents the confidence to fully participate in the workforce.
From an economic development standpoint, this project supports workforce participation, particularly for lower- and moderate-income families who rely on accessible childcare close to home. With the nearest full-service providers located in neighboring towns, Kids Learning Factory reinforces Wiggins as a central and dependable childcare location for Stone County.
By combining mission-driven lending with strong local partnerships, RCLF and FHLB Dallas are helping ensure that families, children, and communities have the support they need to grow—together.
