Your privacy is important to the Renaissance Community Loan Fund (Renaissance), and maintaining your trust and confidence is one of our highest priorities. We respect your right to keep your personal information confidential and understand your desire to avoid unwanted solicitations. We hope that by taking a few minutes to read this policy, you will have a better understanding of what we do with the information you provide us and how we keep it private and secure.
Renaissance collects certain personal information about you because it is necessary for us to use that information when preparing forms and communicating with the various agencies as a part of the home buying process. Information that identifies an individual personal and is not otherwise publically available information, such as social security number or demographic data such as your race and ethnicity is collected. Also, personal financial information such as credit history, employment history and bank account information is collected.
Examples of sources from which we collect information include:
- Application information, interviews and phone calls with you;
- Letters, e-mails and forms from you; and
- Other questionnaires completed during the process; and
- Information received from your creditors through credit reports.
As a general rule, we do not disclose personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone. However, certain non-public information about you may be disclosed to federal and state agencies, nonprofit partners for program review, monitoring, auditing and oversight purposes, affiliates, agents, contractors and their respective assigns as necessary as permitted by law.
Renaissance protects all of its clients’ confidential information. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information; and we train our staff to safeguard client information and prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or use.
